MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) – Chairwoman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus Lidia Yermoshina met with Charge d’affaires of the USA to Belarus Robert Riley on 6 September to discuss elections to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, BelTA learned from the CEC website.
During the meeting close attention was paid to the vote count procedure.
Early voting to elect members of the lower chamber of the parliament began in Belarus on 6 September. Early voting will last through 10 September. So far 488 candidates are running for the parliament. The elections are scheduled for 11 September.
