MINSK, 26 August (BelTA) – Around seven million Belarusians will cast their vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections, reads a post on the website of the Belarusian Central Election Commission (CEC), BelTA has learned.
The number of voters in Brest Oblast stands at 995,304, in Vitebsk Oblast at 876,960, in Gomel Oblast at 1,100,769, in Grodno Oblast at 777,958, in Minsk Oblast at 1,120,613, and in Mogilev Oblast at 820,275. A total of 1,294,414 Minsk residents will cast their ballots.
Besides, as many as 4,403 Belarusians are expected to cast their votes at polling stations outside the country.
All in all, some 6,990,696 Belarusians will vote in the upcoming elections.
The elections to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus will take place on 11 September 2016.
