MINSK, 23 August (BelTA) – A total of 18,389 domestic observers have been accredited to monitor the parliamentary elections in Belarus. Such information has been posted on the website of the Belarusian Central Election Commission, BelTA has learned.
According to the latest data, citizens nominated 1,549 people to observe the electoral events. 688 observers represent labor collectives, 1,892 - political parties (725-Communist Party of Belarus). 14,260 observers represent other public associations, the largest number are from the BRSM Youth Union (4,053).
The elections to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus will be held on 11 September.
