Belarus parliament elections

MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) – All conditions necessary for fair elections have been created in Belarus, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich said at the closing ceremony of the 11^th session of the fifth-convocation Council of the Republic on 30 June, BelTA has learned.

“The 11^th session of the Council of the Republic is completing its work at the start of an important political event in our country, which is the elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. The election campaign has already been launched. It will be held in an open and democratic atmosphere, in full compliance with the Belarusian legislation. My conclusion is based on the fact that the country has all conditions necessary for fair and democratic elections,” said Mikhail Myasnikovich.

The Speaker has also expressed confidence that the current composition of the Council of the Republic wish every success to those who have decided to run for seats at the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the sixth convocation.
