MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – An estimated 9.63 percent of voters turned out for the first two days of early voting ahead of the 11 September parliamentary elections in Belarus. The relevant information was posted on the website of the Central Election Commission of Belarus, BelTA has learned.
On 6-7 September a total of 7.68 percent of ballots were cast in Brest Oblast, with 10.94 percent cast in Vitebsk Oblast. A total of 10.68% of eligible voters took advantage of early voting in Gomel Oblast, with 9.35%, 8.57% and 10.88% of early votes cast in Grodno, Minsk and Mogilev Oblasts respectively.
Turnout in Minsk made up 9.65%.
A total of 10.54% cast their votes outside Belarus.
Early voting kicked off on 6 September and will last through 10 September inclusively. The parliamentary elections in Belarus are due on 11 September.
