MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – On 11 September the Central Election Commission (CEC) received 32 written complaints from citizens of Belarus, Chairperson of the Belarusian Central Election Commission Lidia Yermoshina said in a press conference on 12 September, BelTA has learned.
The CEC head noted that yesterday there were no major problems for the Central Election Commission.
The majority of written complaints came from Minsk.
The bulk of the complaints was about the non-inclusion of voters in the ballot registers. “One complaint was unreadable. It was from an observer,” Lidia Yermoshina said. According to her, today the CEC might receive more serious complaints from observers. They will be treated in accordance with the law, the head of the CEC said.
As for the phone calls, there were 53 of them. People mainly complained about the absence of invitations from election commissions. There were some calls about music at poling stations or the balloons givento children, added Lidia Yermoshina.
