MINSK, 7 November (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has offered October Revolution Day greetings to fellow Belarusians, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
“Events of the autumn of 1917 made the world hear the voice of a nation, which boldly and openly declared its dream of many centuries. The declaration of the creation of the Socialist Soviet Republic of Byelorussia truly became a triumph of historic justice,” the head of state noted. “The inexhaustible love for the Motherland, diligence, and unity have helped our ancestors get through all the trials and defend the right to live free in the native land.”
“Having chosen an independent path in the 21st century, we preserve the everlasting guidelines of the Soviet age: from ideals of social equality and humanism to the values of peace and the friendship of nations. While preserving accomplishments of the predecessors and inspired by their heroic deeds, we confidently write a new page into the thousand-year-long chronicle of the Belarusian nation,” the president stressed.
On this festive day Aleksandr Lukashenko wished everyone strong health, prosperity, and success in all endeavors.
