MINSK, 30 August (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko held a number of international telephone conversations on 30 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The head of state received phone calls from the leaders of foreign states: Russian President Vladimir Putin, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, and Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The head of state also held telephone conversations with Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly Valentina Matviyenko.
They discussed the development of bilateral relations and the upcoming meeting in early October. The parties also congratulated Aleksandr Lukashenko on his upcoming birthday.
