Brief description:
Amidst the increasing IT penetration and the information explosion, it is becoming obvious that our ability to take part in information exchange has a great impact on the quality of our life. In such a situation, in order to create an enabling environment for persons with visual impairments and to increase their competitiveness in educational or other intellectual activities, it is necessary to give them a tool to exchange information with the surrounding world. Such a tool can and should be delivered by specialized computer technology for the blind and visually impaired.
Today, one of the most important factors for ensuring adaptation and full integration of the visually impaired is the introduction of computer technologies adapted for the blind and visually impaired (assistive software).
