Palestine Embassy counsellor lauds Belarus’ health recuperation program for Donbass children

Palestine Embassy counsellor lauds Belarus’ health recuperation program for Donbass children

NOVOPOLOTSK, 4 October (BelTA) - The health recuperation program for children from Lisichansk and Severodonets and other similar projects are a great help for the parents of these children, counsellor of the Palestinian Embassy in Belarus Nabil Bourchalli told the media, BelTA has learned.

"Every child matters. Children are the future of any country, any nation. They need to be taken care of. I got a lot of positive emotions and impressions here. I saw how well these children are received in Belarus. They undergo medical examinations and go to schools. The children met each other and made new friends. I am more than sure that they will continue to be friends and keep in touch. I think they are leaving with good impressions and would want to return to Belarus again," the diplomat said.

According to him, it is important to make children feel that they are loved. "When they see smiles on our faces, they understand that we have good intentions. We all want our children to live better than we do, and their future to be peaceful. I believe that this (health improvement program - BelTA) was a very humane work and a huge help for parents," Nabil Bourchalli stressed.

Such projects confirm that Belarus is a peaceful and hospitable nation, he noted.

On 3 October foreign diplomats arrived in Novopolotsk on a familiarization visit. They visited the places of residence, education and health improvement of children from Lisichansk and Severodonetsk. They arrived in Belarus on vacation almost three weeks ago with the support of the charitable foundation of public figure, Paralympic athlete and motivational speaker Aleksei Talai. The program of the stay in Belarus includes sightseeing, sports, entertainment and health rehabilitation programs. Novopolotsk has hosted  children from Donbass for the second time.
