Humanitarian project in Orsha District offered for co-financing

Project name:  Eureka creative workshop for people with disabilities

Applicant: Local Social Services Center of Orsha District

Implementation period: 3 years

Project objective: Self-realization of people with disabilities, their professional rehabilitation, an opportunity to earn additional income.

Project goals: Setting up a creative workshop. Developing the zones for catering, leisure, development and training of professional skills. Engaging  visitors in work.

Target group: Citizens with disabilities attending day care for people with disabilities and also people with disabilities residing in the region.

Short description of the activities

1. A sewing workshop for citizens with disabilities
1.1. Purchase of sewing equipment
1.2. Purchase of furniture
1.3. Master classes for persons with disabilities in the region
1.4. Participation in national and regional exhibitions and fairs
     
2. Organization of work for development of creative abilities of people with disabilities
2.1. Outfitting the room for study/hobby groups
2.2. Organizing master classes for persons with disabilities in the region
2.3. Organizing training seminars (at least three during the project) with employees of social institutions

3. Catering services for visitors of the day care
3.1 Purchase of equipment and furniture
3.2 Classes in cooking without outside help

4. Leisure activities for persons with disabilities and their families
4.1. Purchase of equipment and furniture for cultural events
4.2. Purchase of equipment, tools for the organization of sports and recreation activities

Total project funding (USD): 36,735.77

Project site: Day care for the disabled at the Local Social Services Center of Orsha District located at 5A Dzerzhinskogo Street, Orsha, which provides assistance to persons with disabilities in social and domestic, social and labor rehabilitation.
