MINSK, 20 March (BelTA) – Belarus and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are interested in joint projects in healthcare and education. Cooperation in humanitarian affairs was discussed during an official visit of representatives of the Department of Humanitarian Affairs at the Belarus President Property Management Directorate to the UAE, BelTA learned from the department.
During the visit, the Belarusian delegation held talks with representatives of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation, and the Dubai Charity Association. “The parties discussed cooperation in humanitarian affairs focusing on joint humanitarian projects in healthcare, education, and barrier-free environment,” the department said.
The parties noted that the UAE is among Belarus’top 15 partners in humanitarian affairs.
The representatives of the department also visited the International Humanitarian City in Dubai and got familiar with its activities. They met with the head of the International Humanitarian City and representatives of international organizations that operate within the city, including the WHO and the International Committee of the Red Cross. Representatives of the UAE showed interest in visiting Belarus in 2020.
