Belarus to get 3m doses of COVID-19 vaccine from China

MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – Another batch of 3 million doses of SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine (Vero Cell), Inactivated by Sinopharm will arrive in Minsk on 21 January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry.

“Belarus is set to receive the largest ever batch of vaccines: 1.5 million doses purchased from China by the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry, and 1.5 million doses donated by China to Belarus as foreign aid,” the press service said.

The Healthcare Ministry is expected to host a ceremony during which Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong will sign the supporting documents of this important cargo.

The Belarusian Healthcare Ministry was helped on the issue by representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs and embassies of the two countries. The cargo will be transferred to the warehouses of Belfarmatsiya.
