MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) - Belarus has sent humanitarian aid to Syria in accordance with the resolution of the Council of Ministers, BelTA learned from the Emergencies Ministry.
"The cargo includes Belarusian-made goods: medicines, sugar, transformers, and also chassis, trucks, a concrete mixer truck, a dump truck and a MAZ truck tractor," the ministry said.
The Emergencies Ministry has provided general coordination of all works on the delivery of goods. "Belarusian rescuers have extensive experience in conducting humanitarian missions. They have provided assistance more than 70 times. Assistance has been provided by the Industry Ministry, the Transport and Communications Ministry of, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other departments. The humanitarian cargo is due to arrive in the seaport of Latakia in Syria in October," the Emergencies Ministry said.
This is going Belarus’ fifth humanitarian mission to Syria in recent years.
