MINSK, 6 August (BelTA) – A polling station for the 2020 Belarus’ presidential election is operating in Beijing, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in China.
“A polling station has been set up in the Belarusian embassy to enable Belarusian citizens who stay in the People’s Republic of China to cast their votes at the 2020 Belarus’ presidential election,” representatives of the embassy said.
Belarusians are free to cast their ballots either as part of early voting or on 9 August. The polling station will stay open from 8.00 to 20.00 on 9 August.
Necessary measures have been taken in order to prevent the spread of respiratory infections, including COVID-19. Visitors have their temperature checked. Disinfectants are available to treat hands and also contact surfaces at the polling station and at the entrance to the embassy. Disposable face masks are provided if necessary.
