MINSK, 14 September (BelTA) – Communication with international missions that arrived in Belarus to observe the presidential election is objective enough, Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Lidia Yermoshina said in an interview to the Belarus One TV channel, BelTA informs.
According to Lidia Yermoshina, there is no feeling that the reports of the international missions have been written long before the election day. “Everything looks quite objective. Questions asked are unbiased. At present I am very much positive about the cooperation with the missions,” said Lidia Yermoshina.
At the same time the CEC head added that one should not forget that all things change: the world order, views on the policy inside the country and worldwide.
According to the preliminary data, a total of 195 international observers have been accredited in Belarus. The majority of them represent the CIS mission as well as the OSCE and PACE missions. Apart from that, over 4,000 national observers are working in the country. The Central Election Commission plans to register 50 more international observers.
