MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) - Exit polls are possible at the upcoming presidential elections in Belarus, CEC Chairperson Lidia Yermoshina said in an interview with the SB Belarus Segodnya Internet TV channel on 25 August, BelTA has learned.
When asked whether there were any plans to conduct exit polls at the president election on 11 October, Lidia Yermoshina said that it is quite possible. “The Central Election Commission does not request exit polls. Speaking about the accreditation of reporters for the work at the Elections 2015 Information Center (the Palace of the Republic, 10-12 October), Lidia Yermoshina reminded that Belarusian reporters will be allowed to the information center on an accreditation certificate issued by the National Press Center and an ID. Foreign journalists will be able to attend the events in the information center on an accreditation certificate issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and an ID. Foreign observers will have to present a certificate issued by the Central Election Commission and an ID.
