MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) – Belarusian presidential candidate Tatiana Korotkevich cast her vote in her own favor on the ballot day. She made the relevant statement for mass media at the polling station, BelTA has learned.
After exiting the polling booth Tatiana Korotkevich demonstrated the ballot paper with her name ticked to the reporters. The presidential candidate also thanked her team and the voters, who supported her during the election. “I am confident we have a lot of work ahead of us. We have the strength to stay in politics,” she said.
Tatiana Korotkevich underlined she was not going to encourage her voters to riots. “I would not like the people, who voted for peaceful changes, to be subjected to provocations of other political forces,” the candidate noted.
Speaking about plans for the day, Tatiana Korotkevich said she was going to root for her son, who was about to play pioneerball in a school competition. Later on she intended to visit an exhibition and meet with her team and observers.
