Russian senators to observer presidential election in Belarus

MOSCOW, 6 October (BelTA) – A delegation of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of Russia will take part in the observation of the 11 October presidential election in Belarus, BelTA learnt from the press service of the upper house of the Russian parliament.

The delegation will comprise Vice Speaker of the Council of the Federation Yuri Vorobiev, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on the Federal Structure Stepan Kirichuk and Deputy Head of the Committee on Social Policy Lyudmila Kozlova. The senators will go to Minsk and Brest as part of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.
