MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) – The registration of candidates for the Belarusian presidential election should finish before 15 September, Chairperson of the Belarusian Central Election Commission Lidia Yermoshina said at the session of the House of Representatives on 30 June, BelTA has learned.
“Election campaigning will begin from that moment (15 September – BelTA’s note),” Lidia Yermoshina added.
The registration of initiative groups which will collect signatures for the nomination of candidates should finish before 22 July. Signatures will be collected from 23 July to 21 August.
Territorial election commissions will be established before 22 July, district election commissions – before 26 August. Documents for the registration of candidates shall be submitted to the Central Election Commission from 22 August to 5 September. Oblast election commissions and the Minsk city election commission will count signatures for every candidate in their territories and submit the results to the Central Election Commission.
Early voting will take place on 6-10 October.
