MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) - The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) appointed its observers to the presidential elections in Belarus which will be held on 11 October 2015, BelTA learned from the PACE press service.
Preliminarily the observation mission has included 27 politicians from five parties, including their deputies. Current PACE Rapporteur on Belarus Andrea Rigoni has made part of the observation mission in the capacity of rapporteur.
The observers represent different countries: Sweden, Switzerland, Romania, Italy, Austria, Spain, Turkey, Armenia, France, Germany, the UK and other states.
In the future the PACE will decide who will represent the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe and will appoint the head of the observation mission.
