According to Lidia Yermoshina, the Central Election Commission has so far accredited five national observers, i.e. from the public association Belaya Rus, the Belarusian Helsinki Committee, and the National Party of Labor and Justice of Belarus, the Belarusian left party Just World and the Belarusian Green Party.
Speaking about the important event for the country, the CEC head stated that the Central Election Commission had provided all the subordinate commissions with necessary printed materials (posters with the presidential date, documents, filling forms). Initiative groups received signature sheets, while their members were given the corresponding IDs. “A total of 20,750 such IDs have been issued by the Central Election Commission,” Lidia Yermoshina said.
The presidential election in Belarus will take place on 11 October 2015. The second round of voting if needed will be held before 25 October.
