MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – As many as 68.5% of the voters in Belarus believe that results of the presidential election will be recognized by the OSCE observers, BelTA learned from an opinion poll carried out by the Information and Analysis Center under the Belarus President Administration.
As many as 39.9% of those polled are confident that the results will be recognized as valid while 28.7% believe that the OSCE observers will be inclined to recognize the results of the presidential election.
The source pointed out the high percentage of respondents, who could not answer the question (19%). Thus, only slightly more than 12% of Belarusian voters expect that the OSCE observers will not recognize results of the presidential election.
Asked why results of the presidential election will be recognized by the OSCE observers, 68% stated “because it is the choice of the nation”.
