Belarus president election’s exit polls recognized as compliant with world standards

MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) – The organization of exit polls as part of the Belarus president election complies with all the world standards. The statement was made by Christian Haerpfer, Doctor of Political Sciences, Director of the institute for comparative survey research Eurasia Barometer, on the air of the Belarusian TV channel ONT on 11 October, BelTA has learned.

Christian Haerpfer stressed: “My colleagues from the international team confirm that all the interviewers working at polling stations followed all the rules and instructions. This is why the quality of the exit polls matches global standards. Not a single violation of international rules has been registered.”

In his words, over 900 interviewers have worked at polling stations in Belarus. All of them had passed through a special selection and training process. “I can conclude that it was an objective scientific procedure. The interviewers never wavered from rules,” he concluded.
