MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) – The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus has corrected voter turnout and vote count figures of the presidential election that took place on 11 October, BelTA has learned.
According to the new data, as many as 87.22% of the voters or 6,113,013 citizens cast their votes during the Belarus president election.
Alexander Lukashenko won 83.47% of the vote, Tatiana Korotkevich — 4.44%, Sergei Gaidukevich — 3.30%, Nikolai Ulakhovich — 1.67%.
As many as 386,225 people chose the None of the Above option. 48,808 ballot papers were invalidated.
