Decisions of Belarusian People's Congress will be important for Belarus’ partners in Germany

BREST, 2 June (BelTA) - The decisions to be taken at the Belarusian People's Congress regarding the country’s development for the next five years will be important for Belarus’ partners in Germany, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Belarus Peter Dettmar told reporters, BelTA has learned.

“The Belarusian People’s Congress will adopt the decisions regarding the country's social and economic development for the next five years. The forum will provide an opportunity to understand which way our relations will develop in the future. This information is very important for partners in Germany. They want to know more about Belarus, its goals and the conditions created in the country for business. Therefore the decisions regarding the country’s development in 2016-2020 will be important for the business circles of Germany,” Ambassador Peter Dettmar stressed.

The diplomat noted that he takes consistent efforts to inform German businessmen about Belarusian enterprises and their capabilities. He will communicate the main theses of the Belarusian People's Congress to the business interested in cooperation with Belarus.

“Hopefully, our countries will continue to cooperate successfully. It is very important that when developing economic relations we do not neglect cultural ties,” the diplomat stressed.

During a one-day visit to Brest Oblast Ambassador Peter Dettmar is scheduled to visit the enterprises of the Free Economic Zone Brest, Pushkin Brest State University where he will talk with students and professors. The Ambassador is also set to visit secondary school No. 7 that runs a profound German language program.
