Mass Media in Belarus expo to be themed around 70th anniversary of Great Victory
MOLDECHNO, 10 April (BelTA) – The 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War will be the central theme of the 19th international expo Mass Media in Belarus, Belarusian Information Minister Liliya Ananich said at the session of the Information Ministry that discussed the work of regional mass media on 9 April, BelTA has learned.
Minsk will host the Mass Media in Belarus expo from 5 till 7 May.
Liliya Ananich added that the grand prix of the 11th national print media competition Zolotaya Litera (golden letter) will also be dedicated to the topic of the Great Victory.
The 70th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from the Nazi invaders and the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory are among the main topics covered by the national and regional mass media. For example, regional editions create special sections, develop projects, and publish newspaper inserts. Besides, Belarusian media publish themed books and TV channels prepare programs in the context of the celebrations.
Liliya Ananich emphasized that mass media, including regional ones, should actively spread information about campaigns organized by the BRSM Youth Union. The minister added that this year Belarus will hold the 20th Belarusian international media forum Partnership for the Future. She invited regional media to participate in the event.
