MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) – A delegation from Beijing will take part in the celebrations on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Victory in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Minsk City Hall.
The delegation from Beijing led by Mayor Wang Anshun will travel to Minsk on an official visit. The Chinese guests will take part in the celebrations on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory, and will lay flowers to the Obelisk Minsk Hero City. The delegation will visit The Beijing Hotel, Lebyazhy residential area, the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War, the 1st Congress of the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party, and participate in the Belarusian-Chinese Interregional Business Forum.
Diplomatic relations between Belarus and the People's Republic of China were established on 20 January 1992. In 2002, Minsk and the People's Government of Beijing signed an agreement on cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian areas. In 1992 Minsk and Changchun established sister-city relations. In 2014, an agreement on the establishment of sister-city relations was signed between Minsk and Shenzhen.
