MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) – Representatives of the Belarusian Embassy in Belgium opened the marathon of Belarusian films about the Great Patriotic War at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Brussels, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The marathon opened with Sergei Loznitsa’s film In the Fog based on a novel by Vasil Bykov. The program of the movie festival features such Belarusian films as Brest Fortress, Apostles' Footprints, and Come and See. It also includes documentaries Khatyn Will Live On, Boomerang, Music of the War Years, and My Folks. The documentary series Symbol of Victory by the Belarus 1 TV channel will also be screened during the movie marathon,” the press service said.
The screenings will be held as part of the festival of feature films about the war of 1941-1945 organized by the diplomatic missions of Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.
