MINSK, 6 July (BelTA) – Organizing an OSCE PA Annual Session is a difficult task, and Belarus Belarus is doing well, Gwen Moore, member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Wisconsin’s 4th district, told the media on 6 July, BelTA has learned.
Gwen Moore emphasized the importance of the fact that the OSCE PA session in held in Minsk. “As the Belarusian president noted yesterday, Minsk is the geographical center of Europe. I thank Belarus for doing a great job hosting such a high-profile event,” Gwen Moore noted.
She said that she participated in the plenary session that focused on migration and the fight against terrorism on 6 July. We should realize our responsibility towards refugees and migrants, help them integrate into the society and protect their civil rights, Gwen Moore stressed.
Minsk is playing host to the 26th OSCE PA Annual Session from 5 to 9 July. The participants discuss ways to enhance mutual trust and cooperation for peace and prosperity in the region. The forum has brought together over 600 participants from nearly 60 countries.
