MINSK, 27 June (BelTA) - Maryna Litvinchuk clinched the gold medal in Women’s K1 5000m at the 2nd European Games on 27 June, BelTA has learned.
In terms of tactics the Belarusian did the race smart and was among the leaders from the start. Hungarian Dora Bodonyi was tailing the Belarusian and was preparing for the final sprint but was not able to get ahead late in the race. The bronze medal went to Mariana Petrusova from Slovakia.
Earlier Maryna Litvinchuk, teaming up with Volha Khudzenka, claimed gold in the Women’s K2 500m.
