MOSCOW, 24 May (BelTA) – Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas and Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev have agreed to meet in Minsk during the 2nd European Games. Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas made the relevant statement after meeting with Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev on 24 May, BelTA has learned.
Sergei Rumas said: “I’ve invited my Russian counterpart Dmitry Anatolyevich [Medvedev] to attend the European Games. He has accepted the proposal.” In his words, a program of action on integration in the Union State of Belarus and Russia will be discussed during Dmitry Medvedev’s visit to Minsk.
During today’s talks the sides reached an agreement that this action program will be prepared by 21 June. Sergei Rumas noted: “We’ve instructed the heads of our joint working group [Russian Economic Development Minister Maksim] Oreshkin and [Belarusian Economy Minister Igor] Krutoi to spearhead the work with all the government agencies and reconcile the views we fail to agree on in order to put together a consolidated document by 21 June, preferably with as few differences of opinion as possible, and submit it for consideration of the heads of government.”
