MINSK, 20 April (BelTA) – The design of medals, diplomas, and medal stand for the 2nd European Games MINSK 2019 has been discussed during a meeting of the national organizing committee under the chairmanship of Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov, BelTA learned from the press service the government.
The committee considered the organization of catering for the European Games participants and the certification of potential food suppliers.
A subcommittee gave a report on medical assistance during the competition.
Minsk will host the Second European Games on 21-30 June 2019. They will hold 206 medal events in 15 sports (23 sport disciplines). The competitions will take place at 12 sport venues.
The Games are expected to attract about 4,000 athletes, 2,000 coaches and other representatives of 50 European national Olympic committees. Besides, Belarus will welcome about 650 international and 410 national referees, about 1,000 foreign journalists, heads of European sport federations and agencies, workers of the EOC headquarters, heads of European NOCs, and high-rankling officials from a number of countries.
