MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – Motorway service outlets in Minsk Oblast will be prepared for the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 by 1 April, BelTA learned from representatives of the Central Office for Trade and Services of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.
Vigorous work is now in progress in Minsk Oblast to prepare catering and retail outlets to welcome guests and participants of the 2nd European Games. Close attention is paid to the outlets located along major motorways. In particular, work is in progress to beautify their surrounding territory, enable conditions for unhindered travel and access to motorway service outlets for people with limited physical abilities. Work has been started to equip parking lots with dedicated parking space, install payment terminals, and offer Wi-Fi service. Visitors will be offered a broad choice of Belarusian cuisine dishes, souvenirs depicting places of interest in Belarus, and information materials about tourism opportunities in the country. Menus in foreign languages will be available for the guests’ convenience. Staff will be able to use foreign language phrase books.
So far payment terminals have been installed at 163 motorway facilities along the country’s main motorways or 93% of the total, with Wi-Fi available at 151 motorway facilities (86%). Menus in foreign languages can be found in 173 cafes (99%). Souvenirs can be bought at 167 motorway facilities (95%), information materials about tourism potential at 164 (94%), phrase books in foreign languages at 168 (96%). CCTV cameras and rapid police response buttons have been installed at 163 public catering outlets (93%). Barrier-free environment is now available in 161 outlets (92%).
There are a total of 342 motorway facilities in Minsk Oblast right now, including 192 public catering outlets and 150 retail outlets.
