MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – Public transport drivers in Minsk will wear uniforms with a logo of the 2nd European Games starting from 17 June, chief of transport at the Minsk European Games Organizing Committee (MEGOC) Aleksandr Kovsher said at the press center of the Belarus Today Publishing House, BelTA has learned.
The MEGOC has already purchased themed uniform for Minsktrans drivers. The uniform set includes a white shirt and a dark blue vest with a logo of the games. “The uniform will be distributed among the drivers next week. The uniform was custom-tailored for each driver. Drivers will wear them till 3 July,” Aleksandr Kovsher said.
205 buses were acquired to transport accredited participants of the games. Apart from that, from 20 May to 10 July accredited participants and volunteers will be able to use public transport free of charge. In order to use this opportunity, they will have to present their badge.
Minsk will host the 2nd European Games on 21-30 June. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete for 200 medal sets in 15 sports.
