Second European Games in Belarus

MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) – A company from Israel will be a foreign partner of the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019, BelTA learned from the press service of the agency in charge of organizing the 2nd European Games.

The Culture Ministry is the general contractor. “A well-equipped Israeli company Kesher-Faktor was chosen as a foreign partner. The company has extensive experience in running large-scale international events. By the end of July an official tour operator will be chosen to work in tandem with the official ticket operator of the games Ticketpro. Work is underway to develop tourist routes not only across Minsk, but also all over Belarus. The visa rules relaxation that will be in effect during the European Games will allow foreign visitors to see Belarusian landmarks,” the press service informed.

Trophies have already been designed and a company to manufacture them is being chosen. The design of the trophies will be presented to the public and journalists soon.

The organizing committee expects the bulk of tourists to come to Belarus by car in June 2019. Therefore, work is in progress to improve coordination at border checkpoints and to provide cell phone coverage and Internet access along the highways.

Minsk will host the 2^nd European Games on 21-30 June 2019. They will hold medal events in 15 sports.
