Second European Games in Belarus

MINSK, 28 April (BelTA) – Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of France Jean Michel Brun praised the progress made by Belarus in the preparations for the 2^nd European Games MINSK 2019 as he met with Belarus’ Ambassador to France Pavel Latushko, BelTA has learned.

The parties discussed further development of the Belarusian-French cooperation in sport and the Olympic movement, including the participation of the French national team in the 2^nd European Games MINSK 2019 in Belarus. Jean Michel Brun hailed the preparation process for the 2^nd European Games in Minsk and emphasized the interest in further close cooperation with the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.

Pavel Latushko noted that the Belarusian embassy is ready to provide assistance to the development of the Belarusian-French cooperation in professional and amateur sport.

The parties agreed that the sports sector should serve as a basis for friendly international relations as well as a means for overcoming the dividing lines in Europe and the world.
