MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) – Foreign fans will be able to cross the Belarusian border using a ticket of the 2nd European Games from 10 June till 10 July 2019, Maksim Koshkalda, the head of the marketing and advertising department of the Minsk European Games Organizing Committee (MEGOC), told a press conference in BelTA’s press center on 6 November.
“Citizens of 74 countries will be able to enter Belarus without a visa (not only via Minsk National Airport) using a ticket of the European Games. They just have to have a valid passport, medical insurance for €10,000 and financial means equivalent of €20 per day,” Maksim Koshkalda said.
As it was reported, tickets for the 2nd European Games will go on sale in Belarus and at authorized resellers (sellers) abroad on 1 December.
The 2nd European Games will take place in Minsk on 21-30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in about 200 medal events in 15 sports. Competitions in nine sports will be qualifiers for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Competitions in badminton, boxing, canoe sprint and judo will be held in the format of European championships.
