MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – Delegates of the European National Olympic Committees will get familiar with Belarus’ preparations for the European Games MINSK 2019, BelTA has learned.
The visit of the NOC representatives is scheduled for 28-29 March. Taking part in the event will also be delegates of 12 sports organizations, the European Olympic Committees (EOC) – sports consultant Makis Asimakopoulos and senior consultant Pierce O'Callaghan.
The guests from 20 European National Olympic Committees will get familiar with the preparations for the multi-sport forum in Minsk. The program of the visit will include meetings with representatives of the Directorate of the European Games MINSK 2019 and visits to sports facilities that will host the forum.
The Second European Games will take place at 12 sports venues of Minsk from 21 to 30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will take part in the competitions which will include 200 medal events in 15 sports. Competitions in ten sports will be qualifiers for the 32nd Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo, Japan.
