European Games in Minsk named most important European sports project of 2019

MINSK, 25 January (BelTA) – The 2nd European Games in Minsk has been named the most important European sports project of 2019, according to a survey conducted by Inside the Games, BelTA learned from the press service of the Minsk European Games Organizing Committee (MEGOC).

Inside the Games offered its readers to choose from four options: 2nd European Games in Minsk, the African Games in Rabat, Morocco, the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru and the Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa. The event in Belarus scored the majority of the votes 93.45%.

Inside the Games is an online publication specializing in coverage of sporting events and the Olympic movement.  

Minsk will host the 2nd European Games on 21-30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in 199 medal events in 15 sports. Competitions in nine sports will serve as qualifiers for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
