Second European Games in Belarus

MINSK, 24 July (BelTA) – The slogan and the logo of the 2^nd European Games will appear in public transport in Minsk. Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus Anatoly Kotov made the relevant statement on the air of the TV channel Belarus One on 24 July, BelTA has learned.

The slogan will be used together with the logo on city objects and public transport. It will also embellish all the souvenirs dedicated to the continental sport forum, said the official.

The open national contest for creating the mascot for the 2^nd European Games in Minsk is in full swing. Anyone is welcome to compete. Contestants are invited to suggest the idea of the mascot, its image, and name. The mascot has to live up to Olympic values and the slogan Bright Year, Bright You. Applications can be submitted by 15 November 2017. Details of the contest are available on the websites of the Belarusian Information Ministry, the National Olympic Committee of Belarus, and BelTA.

Winners of the three top prizes will be invited to attend 2^nd European Games. They will also win sets of parade sports uniforms of the Belarusian national team.
