MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) – The issues of the organization of the Second European Games in Minsk in 2019 and the participation of athletes at the 23rd Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang will be considered at the meeting of the Executive Committee of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in Lausanne on 18 January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian National Olympic Committee.
In Switzerland, the Belarusian delegation will be led by NOC First Vice President Andrei Astashevich and Secretary General Georgy Katulin. Attending the meeting will be President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach and EOC President Janez Kocijancic, members of commissions, representatives of sport federations and organizing committees of the forthcoming Olympic and European Games.
The participants of the meeting plan to consider materials of the IOC decisions on doping matters and the participation of athletes in the forthcoming 23rd Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, the organization of the Second European Games 2019 and other issues related to the activity of the European Olympic Committees.
