MINSK, 23 August (BelTA) – The construction of customs infrastructure facilities ahead of the 2nd European Games MINSK 2019 has been discussed at a seminar in Grodno, BelTA learned from the State Customs Committee of Belarus.
The customs bodies are busy with the preparations for the 2nd European Games in Belarus in 2019. Decisions have already been taken to reconstruct several checkpoints at the Belarusian border with Lithuania, Poland and Latvia. These projects were approved and supported by the European Union.
“The seminar was held to discuss the ongoing modernization and adopt further decisions. The customs bodies took stock of the progress made at the facilities under construction, including the checkpoints Urbany, Verkhny Terebezhov and Bruzgi,” the State Customs Committee said.
The seminar included a roundtable session to look at the issues related to the designing, reconstructing, upgrading and repairing customs infrastructure facilities. The participants in the seminar also visited the Privalki checkpoint to see the operation of the mobile X-ray cargo inspection system.
