Catering, outfitting aspects of 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 discussed

MINSK, 2 April (BelTA) – The organization of catering and outfitting for participants of the 2nd European Games in Minsk in 2019 was discussed at the latest session of the national committee in charge of organizing the games under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov, the press service of the Belarusian government told BelTA.

Participants of the session discussed the preparation of the athlete campus, the organization of catering for participants of the games, the establishment of an operational coordination center and an interagency control center for the duration of the games. Proposals concerning the outfitting of the participants and the people directly involved in hosting the games were also discussed.

Minsk will host the Second European Games on 21-30 June 2019. The Games will feature 15 sports. As many as 206 medal events will be held in 23 sport disciplines. The competitions will take place at 12 sport venues.

The 2nd European Games are expected to attract about 4,000 athletes, 2,000 coaches and other representatives of official delegations from 50 European national Olympic committees. Besides, Belarus will welcome about 650 international and 410 national sport judges, about 1,000 representatives of foreign mass media, heads of European sport federations and agencies, workers of the EOC headquarters, heads of European NOCs, and high-rankling officials from a number of countries.
