BRSM student teams to help at 2nd European Games in Minsk

MINSK, 15 January (BelTA) – Seven student service teams of the BRSM Youth Union will be engaged during the 2nd European Games in Minsk, First Secretary of the Minsk Committee of the BRSM Youth Union Sergei Klishevich told BelTA.

“Seven student service teams will include of 300 students of Minsk colleges and universities. They will help in organizing catering for guests and participants of the Games. We will have our first meeting on 15 January to discuss duties, the range of services, elect commanders and commissioners. The teams will also undergo training,” Sergei Klishevich said.

According to him, the teams will include people with experience of working in a team. “We have also set up a fan club to support our athletes during the competitions,” the first secretary of the city committee said.

“We also plan to decorate the places near which the Games will take place with original graffiti. I am sure that Minsk residents and city visitors will like it,” Sergei Klishevich added.

Minsk will host the 2nd European Games on 21-30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes will compete in 200 medal events in 15 sports. Competitions in nine sports will serve as qualifiers for the Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo.
