Second European Games in Belarus

MINSK, 4 April (BelTA) – The opening and closing ceremonies of the 2^nd European Games will be broadcast by the Belarusian National State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company Belteleradiocompany, Deputy Director of the European Games MINSK 2019 Directorate Anatoly Kotov told the media on 4 April, BelTA has learned.

As BelTA reported earlier, Spain’s International Sports Broadcasting (ISB) has won a tender for the organization of the broadcast of the European Games MINSK 2019. According to Anatoly Kotov, during the coverage of the sports forum one of the key parts will be also played by Belteleradiocompany, which will be trusted with broadcasting the opening and closing ceremonies of the Games, and also athletic competitions. “The potential of Belteleradiocompany will be used in full during the preparations for and in the progress of the 2^nd European Games. Belteleradiocompany will considerably expand its technical capabilities by the start of the sports forum. We are interested in making the 2^nd European games as widely available as possible and with the use of the most advanced equipment,” said Anatoly Kotov.

In his words, the European Games MINSK 2019 mascot will be unveiled within a month. “The mascot will reflect the concept of the European Games and the Belarusian Kupalle festival,” Anatoly Kotov said.

The opening ceremony of the 2^nd European Games will be held at Minsk Dinamo Stadium on 21 June 2019.
