MINSK, 29 June (BelTA) - Belarusian Dzmitry Asanau won the gold medal in the Men’s Light -60kg at the boxing tournament of the 2nd European Games, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian defeated Karen Tonakanyan of Armenia in the semifinals and overcame Russia’s Gabil Mamedov in the final bout.
Dzmitry Asanau was second at the 1st European Games in Baku
Belarusian Uladzislau Smiahlikau will take on Russia's Muslim Gadzhimagomedov in the Men’s Heavy -91kg gold medal bout on 30 June.
The boxing tournament features 316 athletes (men, women) and includes 15 medal events. The tournament ends tomorrow, 30 June.
