MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) – Aliaksandr Hrabovik of Belarus won silver in the Men’s Greco-Roman-97kg event at the 2nd European Games on 30 June, BelTA has learned.
Aliaksandr Hrabovik defeated Turkey’s Cenk Ildem in the semi-finals 2-0, but lost to Olympic champion (Rio 2016) Artur Aleksanyan of Armenia 0-5.
His teammate Kiryl Hryshchanka won gold in the Men’s Greco-Roman-130kg event on the same day.
Earlier, Belarusian wrestler Iryna Kurachkina won the Women’s 57kg gold and Vasilisa Marzaliuk won the Women’s 76kg gold. Ali Shabanau took the Men’s 86kg silver. Aliaksandr Hushtyn secured the Men’s 97kg bronze. Soslan Daurov won the bronze medal in the Men’s Greco-Roman-67kg.
The European Games wrestling tournament featured 288 athletes competing in 18 medal events.
