MINSK, 29 June (BelTA) - Belarus won four medals, including two gold medals, on day eight of the 2nd European Games in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
Belarus secured two champion titles in the women’s wrestling at Sports Palace. Iryna Kurachkina took the Women’s 57kg gold before Vasilisa Marzaliuk won the Women’s -76kg event. The latter claimed gold at the 1st European Games in Baku as well.
Belarus finished second after Ukraine in the Dynamic New Athletics at Dinamo Stadium.
Belarus’ Hanna Tserakh clinched the Women’s Scratch bronze at the Minsk Arena velodrome.
Belarus goes second with 59 (21 gold, 12 silver and 24 bronze) medals in the overall medal standings of the 2nd European Games. Russia tops the charts.
