MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – Belarus welcomed the first fans of the 2nd European Games as the visa-free entry for Minsk 2019 ticketholders got underway on 10 June. A family from Germany crossed the Belarusian border via the road checkpoint Brest, BelTA learned from the State border Committee.
According to the latest data, Belarus border guards have cleared more than 70 foreign nationals with tickets to the games, almost half of them being French nationals.
The most popular among fans of the 2nd European Games are road and rail transport while participants of the games (100 people as of noon 10 June) prefer air service.
Participants and fans of the games are entitled to priority customs clearance via special corridors designated with the games logo.
Minsk will host the 2nd European Games on 21-30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in 200 medal events in 15 sports.
